David Bruce McMahan’s Grandchildren

David Bruce McMahan is the proud grandfather of eight. The oldest are already following their grandfather’s example by volunteering in orphanages, in nursing homes, on teaching farms, by taking much needed baked goods to shelters and food kitchens, and by donating the proceeds of their lemonade stand. Bruce McMahan has eight children, ranging in age from adult to toddler. All of the grown children are active volunteers and/or fundraisers for various charities.

Play VideoAlison McMahan, Ph.D., is a documentary filmmaker and president of Homunculus Productions, LLC, a company that produces training films, industrials and documentaries. She was co-president of Cinewomen NY, an all-volunteer organization that supported women filmmakers, from 2006-2009. She spearheaded the recent joining of forces between Cinewomen NY and New York Women in Film and Television. She now runs the Show-and-Grow program for NYWFIT, where women filmmakers can bring their films-in-progress for a free test screening to help them finish their films.

Heather McMahan is the founder (in 2003) and Chair of the Art For Soldiers Foundation in Austin, TX, which implements creative, innovative programs to improve the lives of American Warriors while encouraging civic participation. Art For Soldiers distributes Art by children to soldiers on active duty, free computers with free online training and certification to vets. AFS is in the final planning stages of a Center where Art, Education and Neurofeedback is available to those with a military ID.

Esteban McMahan is a trader of international equities in Chapel Hill, NC. He is the Vice-Chair for El Centro Latino, is on the Advisory Board for Carolina for Kibera, and was a mentor/advocate for the Blue Ribbon Mentor Advocate Program for 8 years. Esteban and his wife Dana received the 2006 Citizens of the Year Award from the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce’s Foundation for a Sustainable Community. They are also involved with the Orange County Habitat for Humanity, and the Family House.

Jeff McMahan is the Senior Executive Officer of Argent Financial Group LLP, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. For two years in a row Jeff has traversed India in a motorized rickshaw. The Ricksaw Runs are fundraisers for three worthy charities: the Frank Water Project, Carolina for Kibera and SOS Children’s Villages.
